Course Description
What are the implications of the truth of the divinity of all Creation? How will this truth change the way we see our planet? How can this knowledge can transform the way we live our lives?
In this series, Rav Yoel will teach us how to look beyond external appearances to perceive that the whole world is filled with divine glory.
Session One: Sensitivity to Life
Living in this higher state of consciousness awakens within us a powerful sensitivity to life. In this session, we explore how this special sensitivity manifests in the lives of the great spiritual masters.
Session Two: Developing Sensitivity to Life
This session outlines how we develop a sensitivity to all sentient beings. It provides techniques and practices to aid us in incorporating this consciousness into the way we go about our day.
Series Three: Raising the Sparks in Food
Learning how to raise the sparks in food plays a special role in the mystical teachings of Judaism. In this session, we explore these practices and how we can use them to transform our relationship with food and eating.
Session Four: Learning to Raise the Sparks in All Forms of Life
The work of repairing the world (tikkun olam) is not a magical process that somehow spontaneously liberates the divine sparks in people, place, and objects. In this session we learn how to draw out the sparks in all forms of life using the power of our heart and mind.
Session Five: Angels and Sparks
The Midrash tells us that every blade of grass has an angel that taps it on the head and tells it to grow. This session explores the unique role that the Angelic Kingdom plays in the work of revealing the divine sparks in all of Creation.
Session Six: Final Words
In this session, Rav Yoel will offer some final words about how we move from brokenness to wholeness walking the path of personal transformation.
Course Format
Each session is 2 hours long and includes teaching, meditation, breakout groups, practical exercises, textual study, and Q&A.
